Sometimes you are pushed into something you feel you are not ready for but God says other wise…a “gentle” shove off the cliff and WOOP, you’re FLYING! And it’s in those times that you get to see yourself soar and do something you thought was impossible.
“Be ready in and out of season” - I think that means, just be available. I think we are rarely ever “ready” for new things we are faced with, not by our standards anyway. We don’t know what we are capable of until we walk it out.
So. Just be available. Just be. :)
Looking back on worship yesterday I’m reminded of the power of “you are the branch, I am the vine”. When we plug into Him and truly rely on Him as our life source, we CAN do anything, even things that seem “impossible”.
After spending the previous 3 days sick in bed, pretty much dead to the world, leading worship the next day didn’t seem like a great possibility. But I had a choice: to let my “feelings” dictate what I would do, or I could rise up in faith and take authority over my feelings and physical circumstances and speak life into existence and remain the branch and let Him move and poor through me. Cause in my weakness He IS strong — It’s not by my might, it’s not by my power, but it’s by HIS SPIRIT in me that I can do the things that He has called me to do.
Remain in Him. He is the source. Get out of your head. It’s not you, it’s Him. He is the true vine - we are the branch, a vessel in which He chooses to use as we allow Him to. Apart from Him we can do nothing. Be open, be ready. Remain in Him and live in the impossible!
This seriously just punched me in the face so hard.
We are all dealt with our “5 cards” in life…but no matter what those other “cards” are in our Chemistry, Connections, Circumstance, or Consciousness…that “fifth card” of CHOICE is the one of the greatest gifts that God gave us, the gift of free CHOICE!.
You have the choice to choose what you are gonna do with the cards that you have been given, whether they are “good” cards or “bad”.
“You can either be angry for what you don’t have or be thankful for what you DO have!”
Values help us to live from the inside out instead of from the outside in.
I will live by values that guide my attitudes, which in turn determine my choices. My choices dictate my behavior and my behaviors become manifestations of my personhood, and my personhood leads me into my destiny.
God likes the process. He allowed the process. He chose the process. #thisislove
Hows that for a little perspective??!! Guaranteed it took Mary a second before she fully appreciated that kind of “favor” from God. — His ways are higher and not always what we expect!
