Sometimes you are pushed into something you feel you are not ready for but God says other wise…a “gentle” shove off the cliff and WOOP, you’re FLYING! And it’s in those times that you get to see yourself soar and do something you thought was impossible.
“Be ready in and out of season” - I think that means, just be available. I think we are rarely ever “ready” for new things we are faced with, not by our standards anyway. We don’t know what we are capable of until we walk it out.
So. Just be available. Just be. :)

Looking back on worship yesterday I’m reminded of the power of “you are the branch, I am the vine”. When we plug into Him and truly rely on Him as our life source, we CAN do anything, even things that seem “impossible”.
After spending the previous 3 days sick in bed, pretty much dead to the world, leading worship the next day didn’t seem like a great possibility. But I had a choice: to let my “feelings” dictate what I would do, or I could rise up in faith and take authority over my feelings and physical circumstances and speak life into existence and remain the branch and let Him move and poor through me. Cause in my weakness He IS strong — It’s not by my might, it’s not by my power, but it’s by HIS SPIRIT in me that I can do the things that He has called me to do.
Remain in Him. He is the source. Get out of your head. It’s not you, it’s Him. He is the true vine - we are the branch, a vessel in which He chooses to use as we allow Him to. Apart from Him we can do nothing. Be open, be ready. Remain in Him and live in the impossible!

Values help us to live from the inside out instead of from the outside in.
I will live by values that guide my attitudes, which in turn determine my choices. My choices dictate my behavior and my behaviors become manifestations of my personhood, and my personhood leads me into my destiny.

After a day like this, you sometimes can’t help but sit and ask “why”…the lack of understanding haunts your mind. The hurt that comes with that lack of understanding jabs at your heart over and over again. But then you hear that still small voice say to you, “Do you trust Me?…Do you trust that I have a plan always; and what may catch you off guard does not catch me off guard…Do you trust that I am working all things together for good…Do you trust Me?”…In the end, all of the questioning and not understanding is left at rest in the simple answer of, “Yes”. I trust You, Lord….Rest in His unfailing love, lean back in His arms and trust Him. For He is the comforter and the Rock on which we stand. The healer of broken hearts and the giver of strength and peace beyond understanding.
Isaiah 26:3-4: You will guard him and keep him in perfect and constant peace whose mind [both its inclination and its character] is stayed on You, because he commits himself to You, leans on You, and hopes confidently in You. 4 So trust in the Lord (commit yourself to Him, lean on Him, hope confidently in Him) forever; for the Lord God is an everlasting Rock.”
